Data Safety & Account Deletion

Collab Only is committed to giving users full control over their personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data, what information is removed, what is retained, and how long any retained data is held.

How to Request Account & Data Deletion

Follow these steps to submit a deletion request. Requests are processed within 30 days.

    Send an email to our support team Email support@collabonly.com from the address associated with your Collab Only account.

    Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request" This ensures your request is routed directly to the data privacy team and processed promptly.

    Include your account details in the email body Provide the name and username registered on your account so we can locate and verify it before deletion.

    Receive a confirmation email We will confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days and notify you once deletion is complete.
  5. 5
    Deletion completed within 30 days All eligible data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups within 30 days of request confirmation.

What Data Is Deleted

When a deletion request is confirmed, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from all active Collab Only systems:

Account profile (name, username, bio, photo) Deleted Permanently removed from the platform and no longer visible to other users
Email address Deleted Removed from all active user records and authentication systems
Messages and conversations Deleted All direct messages and match conversations are permanently deleted
Match history Deleted All match connections and pending matches are removed
Profile preferences and settings Deleted Niche preferences, notification settings, and app configuration
Social media links and portfolio content Deleted Any linked URLs or content samples uploaded to the profile
Push notification tokens Deleted Device tokens used for push notifications are removed immediately

What Data Is Retained & Why

Certain data may be retained after account deletion to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our Terms of Service. Retained data is not used for marketing or product purposes.

Note on backups: Deleted data may persist in encrypted system backups for up to 90 days after the deletion request is processed. This data is not accessible for any operational purpose and is permanently purged when backup rotation completes.

Deleting Your Account In-App

You can also initiate account deletion directly from within the Collab Only app:

In-app deletion triggers the same data removal process described above. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered address when deletion is complete.

Requesting a Copy of Your Data

Before deleting your account, you may request a copy of your personal data. To do so, email support@collabonly.com with the subject line "Data Export Request". We will provide an export of your account data within 30 days.
